The Spinning Muay Thai Elbow Is Like The Spinning Backfist...If Your Opponent Doesn't Know How To Defend It - It's Lights Out

Most of the time when someone gets knocked out with a spinning elbow it's for one reason; he or she didn't keep their hands up. The spinning elbow can be used very effectively against your opponent who is up against the ropes or who is coming in to you with hands low.

For instance when your opponent is moving in to do a low round kick. If you have noticed that they bring their hands down to deliver more power when kicking you can jam their technique with yours.

Start by stepping forwards and accross your body with your front foot and begin turning in the direction of the step.

Turn your body backwards and continue turning your head towards them. Your rear elbow follows this momentum and spears towards your opponents face.

Strike with the tip of your elbow. Come back the way you came as this is the safest way to return to stance.
